Anita Hirlekar's graduate collection focuses on hand felt. Anita experimented with the hand felting technique on various fabrics such as silk, knit, velvet, lace and polyester to achieve different textures and volume. She also used the technique in the construction of the garment by felting the pieces together, therefore no seams were needed in the collection. Along with playing with organic forms and colour the dresses are asymmetrical so that every angle is different from each other. Inspired by paint splashes from various abstract paintings from Rothko to Richter pushed Anita to play thoughtfully and artistically with the textile, creating one off, hand made dress reminiscent of a painting. She also are the finalist of MUUSINGS x Vogue Talents Young Vision Award 2012.

Sound wave is many designers inspiration. The length of the wave, the repetition, the curves, these are the elements that most of the designers will transformed them into amazing garments. Sofie Schou's recent knitted project also showed her amazing skills of different knitting techniques. Using different materials as a collage to reinterpret sounds on a monochromatic nude knitwear.

DIDO LIU . BEIJING

Dido Liu's graduate collection inspiration came from the portrait taken 200 years ago in China. She reinterpret the oversize and translate it into the modern language. The most amazing things is her 3D lenticular prints of the gold fish and also the floral prints, its amazing when it moves. She got featured on Not Just A Label as well as 1 Granary.

CHOW KA WA KEY . HONG KONG

Key's final collection is textile oriented. The inspiration is from landfill. Using different weird techniques and materials to achieve a knitwear that you never see before. The most interesting material of the whole collection is the iron-on transfer papers printed on a knitted structure of terry stitch made of merino wool in different gauges. His experiments on knitwear is inspiring and yet he won the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award this year. His work also showcased on notjustalabel.com.
