RAUN LAROSE FW13 . NEW YORK

The Young Designers Project is a digital platform showcasing different talents each season, this season Aina Beck and Raun Larose has collaborate with them to present their FW13 collection. The Brooklyn native Raun Larose FW13 collection is inspired by street-wear with a sense of college schoolboy elements. The illusion of the fabrication makes you unsure what you see is true until you touch the fabrics. He did a mixing in neoprene and boiled wool with tailored outerwear which he always do best.

XANDER ZHOU FW13 . LONDON

This is the second season of Xander Zhou bang on London Men's fashion week. The statement "boys will be boys" sums up the whole collection. The collection is the hybrid of menswear street culture mix with tailoring but with a twist. His attention into details is ultra breathtaking. Every single part of the clothes were thoughtfully well placed. Small quote was placed around the neckline seems like the wearer whispering to you. The silhouette seems like the moment when you take your clothes off but stuck, the collection is playing with different proportion which push the menswear onto another level. Xander Zhou is really a big force of London Menswear creativity and a brand that definitely worth to watch in the next few seasons. His shoes collaboration is quite amazing too, collaborate with Juun.J's China creative shoe maker Kim Kiroic to design the cutout colorful sneakers.

J.W. ANDERSON FW13 . LONDON

Crossing the definition between menswear and womenswear, this is what J.W. Anderson has known for a while and developed through his past collections. This season the message is definitely more clear, the ruffles on the shorts and boots, the pleats, the high waist shorts, the tube top silhouette, all represented the vision from Jonathan's perspective. For his women's pre-fall collection, some of the piece is exactly the same and quietly state the collection is neutral unisex. No doubt this is the most controversial collection compare to any other collection in the past, but when you break down each piece, you can actually wear it with some styling to tone it down. No matter how, he took the risks to push the boundaries of menswear silhouette and definitions, and also mark as the brand direction for the future.
